Traditionaly, pro cyclist race at local crits, ones they finished the biggest bike race, le Tour de France. in hürth, a small town near cologne, Germany, riders like nils polit, who won the grand tour with his teammate tadej pogacar in 2024, will line up against the best local riders and attrect hundreds of cycling fans. not racing myself in the crit scene, i went there with some friends and documented it.
